Focus: Bina specializes in acute and chronic pain, fertility, prenatal and post natal care, labor induction and facial rejuvenation as well as other conditions.


History: She was first introduced to acupuncture while living in South Korea in 1994. After leaving South Korea, she split her time between Asia and Europe. Living in India, Thailand, England and Holland primarily and studying massage, yoga and meditation. In 2001, while living in Thailand, she met an outstanding acupuncturist, Dr. Wang who treated her for a chronic health issue at that time. It was this interaction that prompted her to move to the East Bay and study acupuncture. While in school Bina was fortunate to intern under three very prominent acupuncturists in the Bay Area, Dr. Misha Cohen, Dr. Bob Levine, and Amy Lee. She also gained valuable experience with herbs working at Shen Nong Herbs, a Chinese medicinal pharmacy in Berkeley.

Practice: Bina has a thriving practice in West Berekely on 7th street and in San Francisco on Union St. She co-teaches the board review class at Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College-Berkeley and is a senior teacher for TCM Review, an independent board prep course. In addition to this she edits for California Journal of Oriental Medicine and writes articles for www.rvita.com and www.altmd.com, on-line natural healing hubs providing information and reviews on various Alternative medicine like Acupuncture, Chiropractics, and Yoga. She published a clinic manual for TCM practitioners and students in 2007. Bina is active in the community. She works to educate the public on the benefits of Chinese Medicine.

Education: Bina is a graduate of the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College-Berkeley. She has also studied yoga, meditation and massage extensively for the last 15 years under various teachers and healers. Her facial rejuvenation education was under Virginia Doran and Barbara Berger, both leading teachers in the field of cosmetic acupuncture. Bina feels that education is important and regularly attends continuing education classes on a variety of subjects so she can continually offer the best care possible to her patients.
